Now autumn arrives, wrapping the world in crisp air and amber light. Conkers thud satisfyingly to the ground still slick from their spiky shell and thrown into pockets, sticks are wielded like swords and puddles and leaf piles become irresistible playgrounds. The stream runs cold and clear, edged with moss and the scent of damp bark. Fallen leaves - crisp, curled and copper-toned - carpet the paths, rustling under boots and wellies. Shop windows shift with the season too, dressed in amber tones, pumpkins and lanterns, mirroring the beauty outside. Family walks are 'encouraged' to keep screens away but before long, tiny hands are busy collecting acorns and treasures from the woods. Laughter (and whinging) mingles with the crunch of leaves, the splash of puddles and the quiet joy of autumn’s little wonders 🍁"
