Good morning Mastodonians! Coldest morning of the snap so far, maybe the last really cold one until autumn...who knows? The weather can be a real roller coaster in spring. I remember a May back in the 90s that set records for the lowest high temps and the highest lows. Record cold next to record heat!

Good morning Mastodonians! Overcast but a bit warm here, and I'm in a bit of a spot as we're having a board of directors meeting....and the boss is sick. So guess who's the host? He'll be remoting in, although he sounds like death warmed over, and I can rely on my colleagues to behave themselves. I hope.
Talked to a mortgage specialist and will be filling out some forms soon, and we talked about the value of buying. Still a little intimidated by it all....but aren't most noobs to this process?

Good morning Mastodonians! Heavy dew overnight, chilly but to warm up, and only a few wispy clouds in the sky. The sun is burning off any remaining mist. Gotta face another day....and the knowledge that I need to find a new place to live by 3/31. I can do this, although it may be a pain. But, gotta earn those benjamins...

A slow start to my day; didn't sleep well thanks to a) another rainstorm passing in the night, b) high winds blasting the cottage, and c) dogs chasing something (a fox?) outside. But I've rallied and am ready to enjoy whatever the day brings my way. It's beautifully clear, cold, and windy up here, the kind of day I love....clear, bright, and cold as hell.

Got stuff to do, and I have an eye exam in the afternoon...fun stuff. Gotta keep on top of the glaucoma.

Good morning Mastodonians! A misty, drizzly one here, but the clouds are to part today and sun emerge. I hope so. Car drove wonderfully on the way to work; yay! But man, after last night's anxiety-crash, it took me forever to get back to sleep, and now I'm bleary-eyed and a mess. Sigh.

Got a board meeting today...fun stuff. I sit there and take the minutes, for the most part. Still, I'm on the board, even if it's ex officio. It is a sign that I moved up in the world with this job.

Good morning Mastodonians! I'm eating breakfast at a lakeside resort in lovely West Virginia...a day ahead of talkin' transit with some nice folks. Pretty different from the conferences I usually help run but nice; no breakouts or multiple streams of programming, just one track. (shrug)
Last night I had a great chat with a lady who runs the bus service in Martinsburg, WV, who's already involved in a cooperative project with some Maryland transit chiefs, and some talk with people from Wheeling and Morgantown. And their official photographer is a retired transit chief himself, and has invited me to come by his studio any time.
So, gotta focus on my nosh...I'll see y'all later...
