Up but groggy on this Sunday morning as we prepare breakfast and #coffee. 
Had a wonderful night out with my dad for dinner at an Italian restaurant. A and I enjoyed a plate of delicious cheese-wheel pasta and my dad had the lasagna bolognesa. π We were so stuffed and that might explain why I had such crazy dreams last night that have left me tired in spite of sleeping at 9:30 last night. 
What a set list. And Dirty Boulevard is devastating in a quiet, subtle way. Dog Show at the end made me smile.
"Let X=X," with its inscrutable references, random yet consequential, is from her debut album Big Science. It might be telling us what you see is what you get, but also that it's OK to let the unknowable be what it is. "The Letter," which follows, is from her latest, Amelia, a moving travelogue following the flight path of the famed pilot. From the desolation of her late husband Lou Reed's "Dirty Blvd.," Anderson shifts to brief moments of beauty - a paean to the stars above and a dream of being a dog.
