I'm almost impressed with myself!
I've (finally) started getting ahead with writing the blurbs for my daily photos, mostly because ive figured out that each post follows the same basic outline, including certain tags, so I can write them once, ^C/^P into place as many times as I need, then fill in the blanks.
A first runthrough will see reg, type, airline, location, and date details filled in, followed by filling out all the hashtags, all of which is done on my desktop.
I can then do a 2nd run, filling in any other details for the caption, then writing the AltText, on any other computing device I can get my hands on (my wife's computer or my ChromeBook if I'm cooking, tablet or phone if I'm out, or anything else).
Doing this, ive suddenly gone from writing in panic mode, to just needing to write AltText for 3 photos today and 5 photos for tomorrow, while Friday just needs AltText for 2 photos, and a 2nd run for 3.
Why has it taken so long to figure this out?
And I realised just after I started typing this that if I have a text file I could just copy each post outline from, I could write it once, and copy/paste forever!
Doh!
All I need to do now is finish that new watermark, and I'm set up for the year!

Web Stuff - Homeowners insurance is pricing people out in disaster-prone cities

Most of the time the only NEWS I read are the headlines. Since I stopped watching TV and following the NEWS I have a lot less stress in my life and its easier to find an inner calm. This headline: No, I didn't read the article. This implies what I've been thinking for a very long time... Why...

Alien Soup

After 15 years of service, Alberniweather.ca uses more than 20GB of storage on its webhost. I'd say that's pretty slim! But we're running up against some web host storage limits now and it’s impacting site performance. So to keep costs low I'm offloading the majority of the media (blog post pictures/images) to Google Cloud. It should be far cheaper than expanding my hosting package. Hopefully it also improves site performance. Thanks for your patience.
