I've been distracting myself with something I haven't done in awhile, building a website. It's actually pretty fun... when you know what you're doing or what you want to do at least. Every day I've been spending a little bit of time after work hacking away at it. It's been a nice distraction from work and doom-scrolling just playing around with CSS & HTML again. I'm not going to go overboard or anything (this time), the focus is going to be on actually writing & posting instead of the rabbit hole of endless tweaking that many fall prey to.
While I have the Fediverse, old school Web 1.0 has always held it's sway over me.
Before streaming or YouTube, there was cartoonnetwork․com, 📺 home to Flash games, clips of Ed, Edd n Eddy & Samurai Jack, & Cartoon Orbit, a virtual playground where kids collected and traded digital cards and “orbs.”
