During the WebEvolve 2024 conference in #Shanghai 🇨🇳, Qianwei Xu (Ant Group) introduced the Galacean Engine (a #Web3D engine), discussed the rationale behind selecting #WebXR, outlined the #XR framework design within the Web3D engine, and provided updates on the ongoing development of client-side WebXR infrastructure and the XR editor.

I just found a #WebXR version of Siena Cathedral within the x3dom examples.

In my first research internship, I had to shuttle important guests of our institute through the cathedral with a Spacemouse. You needed a steady hand to avoid flying through geometries. ;-)

The demo application ran on the HeyeWall - a cluster of 24 PCs with 48 projectors.
