Wave Serpent.
This became a large project to add it to my army/collection.
Modified interior, re-built turret, scratch-built engines with access hatches, sculpted nose to make it sleeker and much more.
More from the modified Wave Serpent.
As I rebuilt the engine intakes I noticed a section of the hull that could become an engine access hatch. So I cut away the section, scratch-built engines into the interior space and then created hinges to make the hatches.
On top, the new turret can still rotate as it can on the vanilla model, but the new gun can also elevate.
More of the Wave Serpent project.
I replaced the shield-spines with small bumps and electrical traces (The Scientist improving on the technology).
For the pilot, I didn't have a body that would fit, and so he is just a head and a mass of wires. But he seems happy about it.

Here you see the right side of the Wave Serpent I modified for my army/collection.
And the turrret I built, just to be different from stock, with an added missile.
The whole turret can rotate on it's mount, but I modified the guns to be able to elevate.

The pilot of the modified Wave Serpent, true to my army's form, is just a head supported by a mass of wires.
You can just about see his grin through the cockpit window.

I added the missile just to make this stand out as a modified Wave Serpent; to say "this is not your usual WS".

More photos of the Wave Serpent.
Here you can see the interior before I enclosed the model.
Also the added engines in all their detailed glory and what is visible through the hatches I created.

Wave Serpent.
For my personal army/collection.
Another large project with a lot of work:
Made the interior more interesting (added details and carved the "ribs" to be more bone-like),
Gave the nose (in front of the pilot) a point,
Changed the turret (to make it more weird to fit the army),
Added engines with fan intakes and access hatches,
And much more...
