Snoqualmie Falls is Washingtons most popular waterfall. Video of the falls were used in the opening credits of the 90's tv show, Twin Peaks. This is a vantage point that is no longer accessible . A new boardwalk along the river was built but limits people from getting too close.

Palouse fall is beautiful and impressive any time of the year. In winter when the temps get down to zero it takes on a little different look. The ice that forms all around the falls gives it a temporary face lift.

This is a place that I have wanted to go for a while. I read reports that the larch were at peak color. The 2 plus mile uphill trail had ice and snow on it and I arrived later than I wanted to and was met by snow. So I moved quickly before it got dark to try to capture what I could before the slick descent.
