#DocFetcher on #MacOS for fulltext search in the old version finds 1.5° 77x, and 2x in the new version... oops. So I can't trust Docfetcher.app ?!
No worries.

Searching in Textedit.app instead.
The new full #Ar6 #WG2 contains the Tech_Summary which the old doesn't. So I subtract the hits from the new TS.pdf here.

New version:
87x "by 2030"
16x "by 2040"
1152 "1.5°"

Old version:
77x "by 2030"
16x "by 2040"
673 x "1.5°"

I guess, 10 additional hits on "by 2030" all refer to SDG somehow.

Over on the birdsite, I had started a project with quotes from #AR6 #WG2 for prognosis "by 2030" or "by 2040". You know, as #scicomm to increase awareness and risk perception.
I couldn't finish the project bc it was too much...

Now I'm thinking, with the revamped Final Version out, I should do it again. Fulltext search for #by2030 #by2040 or "1.5ºC" and toot quotes and screenshots.

Jemand müsste es ALLEN Leuten von #LetzteGeneration @AufstandLastGen sagen, damit diese Zahl nicht mehr zitiert wird.

Wie im oben verlinkten Post erklärt, war mir das immer schon suspekt, da Quelle fehlt(!), aber hatte es trotzdem zitiert. #IPCC

Important and big changes have been made. Would love to see the feedback documents that caused the changes. HelP? ⚠️ And the 700 million vanished from the report⚠️

I always had a little tummy ache with the figure in the "final draft" of #AR6 #WG2 chapter 9 on Africa, where it stated that up to 700 million people might get replaced by 2030 due to high water stress.

Searched far & wide for a source wrt 700 million...half the continent... by 2030?
Couldn't find any.

Both versions of Ch9 state high-water-stress with 951m Africans exposed at 1.5ºC, 178m vulnerable, and cite #SROCC as source. Very bad. #IPCC citing itself..?
And SROCC doesn't contain "951" !
