L'Unità: Attraversano sulle strisce pedonali, due donne investite e uccise a Napoli: 34 enne arrestato, positivo all’alcol test

Arrestato dalla Polizia Locale l’uomo che ha investito due donne ucraine nella serata di domenica 23 marzo in Corso Garibaldi a Napoli. Sono morte entrambe. L’uomo ha 34 anni, italiano, residente a Napoli, è stato subito fermato dagli agenti dopo i test tossicologici e alcolemici cui è stato sottoposto presso una struttura sanitaria. Si trova agli arresti domiciliari, gli è stata sequestrata la patente. Sul posto i rilievi tecnici per ricostruire la velocità della vettura e la dinamica del sinistro, ascoltati anche alcuni testimoni così come sono state acquisite le immagini dei sistemi di videosorveglianza.
L’incidente si è verificato a Corso Garibaldi, le vittime stavano andando verso via San Cosmo Fuori Porta Nolana. Secondo quanto accertato dall’Unità Operativa San Lorenzo e dell’Infortunistica Stradale, sono state travolte in pieno dall’automobile che ha terminato la corsa contro tre auto parcheggiate in sosta, causando danni ingenti. Una delle due vittime è morta sul colpo, l’altra due ore dopo il ricovero all’Ospedale del Mare. Avevano 57 e 52 anni, secondo diverse ricostruzioni stavano attraversando sulle strisce pedonali. L’auto sequestrata, è risultata essere noleggiata. Secondo i test l’uomo era sotto l’effetto di sostanze alcoliche. Sequestrati i mezzi coinvolti nello scontro.

The man, 34 years old, Italian, and a resident of Naples, was immediately stopped by officers after undergoing toxicological and alcohol tests at a healthcare facility. He is being held in custody, and his driver’s license has been seized. Technical investigations were carried out on the scene to reconstruct the vehicle’s speed and the dynamics of the accident, and some witnesses were interviewed, as well as the images from surveillance systems were acquired.

The accident occurred on Corso Garibaldi; the victims were heading towards Via San Cosmo Fuori Porta Nolana. According to investigations by the San Lorenzo Unit and the Road Accident Investigation Unit, they were broadsided by the car, which crashed into three parked cars, causing extensive damage. One of the victims died instantly, and the other died two hours after being hospitalized at the Ospedale del Mare (Sea Hospital). They were 57 and 52 years old, and, according to various reconstructions, were crossing the pedestrian walkway. The seized car was found to be rented. According to the tests, the man was under the influence of alcohol. The vehicles involved in the collision were seized.

Agi: Napoli, due donne travolte e uccise da un'auto: arrestato 34enne positivo ad alcol test

AGI - L'uomo napoletano di 34 anni alla guida della Mercedes che ieri notte in corso Garibaldi a Napoli, all'altezza di porta Nolana, ha investito e ucciso due donne mentre attraversavano la strada, è stato arrestato per omicidio stradale. Era alla guida sotto l'effetto di alcol.
Secondo quanto accertato dagli uomini della Polizia Locale dell'Unità Operativa San Lorenzo e dell'Infortunistica Stradale, le due amiche di nazionalità ucraina di 52 e 57 anni, stavano attraversando corso Garibaldi per dirigersi verso via San Cosmo Fuori Porta Nolana; una volta arrivate al centro della carreggiata, sono state travolte con estrema violenza dall'auto guidata dall'uomo.

A causa del violento impatto, il conducente ha perso il controllo della vettura, terminando la propria corsa contro tre veicoli regolarmente in sosta sul lato destro della strada. Le ferite riportate dalle due cittadine ucraine sono apparse subito disperate. Una delle due è deceduta sul colpo a causa della gravità dell'impatto. La seconda vittima è stata trasportata d'urgenza all'Ospedale del Mare, dove i medici hanno tentato invano di salvarle la vita, ma è morta circa due ore dopo il ricovero.
Condicente positivo all'alcol test
Il conducente della Mercedes è stato immediatamente sottoposto agli accertamenti urgenti per la verifica del tasso alcolemico. I test hanno fornito esito positivo. Informato il pm di turno, l'uomo è stato dichiarato in stato di arresto con l'applicazione della misura della detenzione domiciliare.
Gli agenti hanno inoltre proceduto al ritiro della patente e al sequestro del veicolo, risultato essere un'auto a noleggio. Nel luogo dell'incidente, la Polizia Locale sta completando i rilievi tecnici, ascoltando i testimoni presenti al momento del fatto e procedendo all'acquisizione delle immagini dei sistemi di videosorveglianza della zona per ricostruire l'esatta dinamica del sinistro.

Due to the violent impact, the driver lost control of the vehicle, ending its run against three vehicles parked regularly on the right side of the road. The injuries sustained by the two Ukrainian women appeared immediately desperate. One of them died instantly due to the severity of the impact. The second victim was urgently transported to the Ospedale del Mare (Sea Hospital), where doctors unsuccessfully tried to save her life, but she died about two hours after admission.

Driver tests positive for alcohol

The Mercedes driver was immediately subjected to urgent tests to verify his blood alcohol level. The tests yielded positive results. Informed of the shift prosecutor, the man was declared in arrest with the application of the measure of house arrest.

Police also seized the driver's license and impounded the vehicle, which turned out to be a rental car. At the scene of the accident, the Polizia Locale is completing technical investigations, hearing witnesses present at the time of the incident, and acquiring images from the area’s surveillance systems to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.
