I'm reading "Beyond Luna" (HโLiftShips 1) by Bob Freeman, which contains at least twoยน #uplifted characters, Jack the dog and Tang the orangutan, though the book never uses #uplift as a term. But it seems a very minimal uplift, just involving the ability to speak English. In terms of human intellect, Jack comes off as a four-year-old human, and Tang as about seven, though with bigger vocabularies.
[1] I don't know if the octopus first mate slash navigator is uplifted, or if humans have just learned how to communicate with the cephalopods.
