This means a neurologist spending 40 minutes with a patient to tease out a diagnosis can be paid less for that time than a dermatologist spending a few seconds squirting a dollop of liquid nitrogen onto the skin.

@stevewfolds @grayladywriter We refer to it as Medicare DisAdvantage. It costs us taxpayers 20% more than traditional Medicare, it puts more hurdles between a patient and their doctor, and most of the corporations providing it have been convicted of fraud — reporting people as sicker than they are to get more money. The corporations call it #Upcoding. I call it #greed. #MedicareAdvantage
