El 17 de junio se conmemora el día mundial de lucha contra la desertificación y la sequía. Este año 2026 Kenia es la sede de la conmemoración, donde se pide reconcer, respetar y restaurar los pastizales, el ecosistema que cubre más de la mitad de la superficie terrestre, es uno de los más desatendidos. De vital importancia para la biodiversidad, el ciclo del agua y la seguridad alimentaria, la conmemoración de este año pide tener presente, hacer lo posible por que no se pierdan estos espacios, que además brindan sustento de manera directa a una parte importante de la población mundial: https://www.un.org/es/observances/desertification-day
