Wir hatten im @bundestag ein interessantes Gespräch über den Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act #UFLPA mit einer Delegation aus den #USA, bestehend aus Fachleuten aus dem U.S. Department of Homeland Security, dem U.S. Department of Labor und dem Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Das US-Gesetz aus dem Jahr 2021 soll verhindern, dass Waren in die USA importiert werden, die mit #Zwangsarbeitern aus #Xinjiang in #China hergestellt wurden. Das Gesetz betrifft auch schon heute deutsche Unternehmen, die in Xinjiang aktiv sind und in die USA exportieren wollen, wie z.B. @Volkswagen. Außerdem können wir von den Erfahrungen mit dem UFLPA lernen, wenn es um die Umsetzung der EU-Zwangsarbeitsverordnung geht, die kürzlich vom @europarl_en beschlossen wurde: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/TA-9-2024-0309_EN.pdf
