Kann es sein, dass #DTAG #AS3320 wieder am Rad dreht? Seit einigen Tagen schon sind Verbindungen in Richtung Asien quasi unmöglich. Fast 50% Paketverlust zu #Twelve99/#Arelion/#Telia auf mehreren Anschlüssen - business und privat. Alle anderen Provider sauber. #Vodafone nutzt sogar augenscheinlich die gleichen Router bei Twelve99 und kommt sauber durch. Und seit heute hauen mir auch noch Verbindungen zu #Alphabet immer wieder ab. Kein Paketverlust, aber Spikes bei der Latenz, die beim Streaming natürlich ganz toll sind. Wird Zeit, dass denen nochmal wer #Peering erklärt und man politisch so eine Kundengeiselnahme zum Erpressen doppelter Gebühren verhindert. -.-

Seit Tagen 90% packet loss beim #Twelve99-Peer der #Telekom. Gibt es in Deutschland wirklich keinen DSL-Anbieter, der für gutes Geld einfach ein gutes Produkt bietet, ohne Peeringspielchen oder Zwangstrennung?

So we've been having a lot of trouble at work over the last few weeks, with some of our colleagues, customers and users in the Philippines, South-East Asia and Japan having trouble reaching our systems (in Norway). Turns out Arelion - AS1299 - are having problems. So here you go, a PSA for you networking people out there; this is what we got from them when reaching out:

We regret to inform you of the current disruption in service due to multiple backbone link outages caused by subsea cable faults. As a result, connectivity may be impacted across various regions effecting our Intra-Asia & Europe-Asia Links.

Here is the breakdown of the affected routes and their estimated time of repair (ETR):

Marseille to Singapore: Multiple links are still impacted, with updated ETRs on 7th June 25th June and 7th July.
Marseille to Hong Kong: ETR is set 25th June
Osaka to Singapore: ETR is set on 15th June
Tokyo to Singapore: No ETR available at the moment
Tokyo to Hong Kong: Two links are affected. ETR for one of the links is 15th June and for the other link no ETR yet

Currently preferring other routes "everywhere". Meanwhile, we're actively guessiping about who might *actually* be to blame ..
