TURN OF PHRASE (00s melodic hardcore, UK – Sunday Drive / Scheme Records)

Turn of Phrase formed in early 2025 between London and Brighton. The band brings a fresh shot of melodic-hardcore that pulls straight from ‘90s post-hardcore and emo bands like Lifetime and Texas is the Reason, while channeling the speed and intensity of early-2000s Posi Fest-era hardcore bands like Count Me Out, Panic, and Crime In Stereo.

Their five track demo, ‘Finish Just To Begin’ released earlier last year on Burning Water Records in the UK, is now being released for the first time in the US via Sunday Drive Records, while the band is about to release a new record via Scheme Records sooner or later.

Compete is a new band from Vienna, featuring both familiar and fresh faces from the Austrian HC scene. They deliver fast, high-energy Youth Crew bangers, without sounding cheesy. Something which most euro YC acts are not capable of.
