Since his financial backer went off script and made it clear that the immigration issue is really about making sure only properly indentured servants are to be brought into the US to take American jobs, Trump quickly pivoted away from that by shitting up the news cycle with his usual misdirection.

"Invading Greenland and Panama" is Trump once again getting the media to talk about what he wants them to talk about, and they're delighted to do it since this generates clicks and easy "reporting" by reposting spicy Twitter takes as "journalism." 😑
