Era stato colpito dalle gesta di Theodore Kaczynsky, l’anarchico primitivista americano conosciuto con l’appellativo di “Unabomber“. Così colpito da esserne stato ispirato per il suo progetto di attacco ad aziende e colossi internazionali. Obiettivo? Una lotta al sistema tecnologico e democratico: è questa l’ideologia anarchica sposata dal 25enne originario di Tortoreto, nel Teramano, arrestato nel quartiere Tuscolano di Roma. Il giovane, in apparenza normale studente fuorisede di Scienze Politiche, è accusato di addestramento ad attività con finalità di terrorismo. Il ragazzo, come detto, aveva preso spunto dalle teorie di “Unabomber“, che inneggiava alla violenza e alla lotta armata. Il 25enne, risultato appartenere alla stessa corrente, avrebbe fornito istruzioni sui suoi profili social su come fabbricare armi e munizioni, anche con l’aiuto di stampanti 3d: dei veri e propri video tutorial pubblicati sul suo seguitissimo account Instagram – oltre 200 mila follower – l’ultimo dei quali risalente al 18 marzo.
Il 25enne avrebbe dato anche la ricetta per realizzare gli ordigni perfetti utili per il sabotaggio dei servizi pubblici essenziali. Uno degli ingredienti, rinvenuto a seguito delle perquisizioni negli appartamenti di Tortoreto e di Roma, è il fertilizzante, citato proprio in uno degli ultimi video-tutorial. Gli agenti della Digos hanno inoltre sequestrato una tuta mimetica, un passamontagna, documenti, telefonini, dispositivi elettronici e diverse armi bianche.
Secondo il Gip, la condotta del giovane “desta particolare allarme sociale” e una “progressione criminosa“. Per questo motivo le indagini si sono allargate anche verso “profili amici” che condividevano i post e i messaggi del terrorista-influencer. Un’operazione ribattezzata “Paint it black” che sta cercando di trovare collegamenti con i fatti di circa due settimane fa, quando hanno perso la vita, sempre nel quartiere Tuscolano di Roma, altri due anarchici. Secondo gli investigatori anche loro stavano preparando un ordigno artigianale e forse, proprio seguendo le istruzioni del loro maestro 25enne.

He had been struck by the actions of Theodore Kaczynski, the American primitivist anarchist known as the “Unabomber.” So struck that he was inspired by them for his plan to attack companies and international giants. Target? A fight against the technological and democratic system: this is the anarchist ideology embraced by the 25-year-old from Tortoreto, in Teramano, arrested in the Tuscolano district of Rome. The young man, seemingly a normal part-time student of Political Science, is accused of training in activities with terrorist aims. The boy, as stated, had taken inspiration from the theories of “Unabomber,” who glorified violence and armed struggle. The 25-year-old, found to belong to the same current, would have provided instructions on his social media profiles on how to manufacture weapons and ammunition, even with the help of 3D printers: veritable video tutorials published on his highly followed Instagram account – over 200 thousand followers – the last of which dated back to March 18th.
The 25-year-old also provided the recipe for creating the perfect devices useful for sabotaging essential public services. One of the ingredients, found as a result of searches in the apartments of Tortoreto and Rome, is fertilizer, cited in one of the last video tutorials. DIGOS agents also seized a camouflage suit, a ski mask, documents, cell phones, electronic devices, and various bladed weapons.
According to the Gip (Public Prosecutor’s Office), the young man’s behavior was “particularly alarming socially” and represented a “criminal progression.” For this reason, the investigations have also expanded to include “friend profiles” who shared the posts and messages of the terrorist-influencer. An operation dubbed “Paint it black” is seeking to find connections with the events of about two weeks ago, when another two anarchists died, also in the Tuscolano district of Rome. According to investigators, they were also preparing an artisanal device and perhaps, following the instructions of their 25-year-old master.
