@pavel23 #Starlink doesn't need to #leak coordinates, those array antennas are trivial to target just by the fact they have know uplink frequencies and constantly switch satellites overhead.

And since they are in #LEO and not #GSO one can't just setup some "Tunnel" like a #Troposcatter to make it hard to find them.

Pretty shure I can build a #drone that can detect and map Starlink terminals for less than €10M...

@jt_rebelo @mastodonmigration @GottaLaff I'd call #Ukraine "criminally incompetent" if they didn't already leverage domestic #Fiber & #GSM networks as well as procuring entire transponders for exclusive use.

I couldn't confirm X-Band use with either #XTAR or #BwSATCOM-2 simply because I have neither teleport access nor matching LNBs/BUCs ready, but existing press releases by @Bundesregierung & @AuswaertigesAmt hint that Ukraine has been upgraded to #NATO #Link22 capabilities.
Existing #SIGINT & purchases show huge amounts of COTS #KuBand & #KaBand and even #Cband-Equipment being used since 2022, which use higher-ping #GSO|s but are easier to decoy and protect against #ElectronicWarfare and #Sabotage (just by shoving the dish into a partially buried sewage pipe, making it look like a ghettohacked Copy of #BARS, the Soviet-Era #Troposcatter CnC Radio...
