Alongside their many contributions to the environment, they’ve played a major role in shaping societies all around the world: from the Bodhi tree in Buddhism to Newton’s apple! It’s day 2 of #TreesAreTheKey. Both culturally and environmentally, trees act as keystones: they provide habitats and resources, are central to mythologies, and absorb up to a ton of CO2!

Today we encourage you to take notice of this impact. 42 million trees are cut down everyday and for each one, up to 4000 other species will be affected. Our work is fighting this: visit our website, plant a tree. Take a moment of gratitude for all that they do for us.
