Successful #workday: doing a one day #iso9001 audit on our industrial process and managed to spend spend three hours of that talking about #permaculture and #foodforests with the auditor.
Good lunch, no non-conformities, #treetalk.
In late #autumn, Heptacodium miconioides, or Seven Son Flower, is at its best here. Native to China, this small ornamental #tree wows with its pink calyces far more showy than its earlier white flowers.
Heptacodium is a monotypic genus- there is only one member, and this one is it. Heptacodium comes from the greek, meaning 'seven heads' and refers to the seven part flower clusters.
Spent lunchtime today with a lovely tree. Just a few weeks ago it was a spooky tree with bare branches. Today the canopy was a beautiful cascade of pale green leaves right to the ground. Wonderful dappled sunlight inside the canopy.
Photos still on the camera at the moment. Hoping I managed to do it justice. #trees #TreeTalk
