It's #TreasureTuesday and today's pick is one of Programmer Michelle's favourite game series: Portal. Although both games were released over 10 years ago, they still hold an outstanding position in the field of puzzle and platform games. Their unique setting, the puzzle mechanics that were greatly expanded in the second game and, last but not least, one of the best antagonists, GLaDOS, made them iconic. Have you played it?

On #TreasureTuesday we present games and other stuff that shaped us and brought us to game dev.
Today's Treasure is Robin's (Narration & Management): Return of the Obra Dinn (2018).
A superb metroidbrainia-like murder mystery in which you investigate the deaths of the crew on an abandoned sailing ship in the early 1800s. Well thought-out story in an authentic maritime setting. Unique and beautifully crafted art style. Captivating soundtrack (that also makes a great ringtone). (Pics: Lucas Pope)

#TreasureTuesday: In Super Metroid, director Yoshio Sakamoto frames Samus Aran’s search for the last Metroid as a dark, melancholic, and grotesque descent into an otherworldly ecosystem that seems to reject the player like an intruder. Game designer Felix says: No 2D Metroidvania has ever made better use of the then newly defined genre’s strengths. A prime example of atmosphere, pacing, and exploration! ❤️‍🔥 (Screenshots by Nintendo)

Holy cow, I can't believe I missed #MintageMonday yesterday! So I'll just do it today and call it... #TreasureTuesday? I dunno.

Anyhoo, this week's metal coinage extravaganza belongs to @StoneMaierGames's Scythe!
