yesterday's travel meditation: ...the woman in the window seat, to my right, nodded out right along with her little girl whilst watching Julia Roberts in 'Eat, Pray, Love. Across the aisle, young Dad I found out later hailed from Valencia had Tom Cruise playing a Mission: Impossible Samurai...
so an East meets West/'never the twain shall meet' theme certainly seems to be developing when my cabbie turns out to be Bangladeshi & we commiserate on the (painful, often bloodsoaked) troubles & hypocrisies of small country post(?)colonial politics as tugged by the global puppet strings of the last true standing superpower...
