first of all thank you so much for helping us out already, we have managed to pay rent and buy groceries! but we are immediately broke again and butting up against the limit of the overdraft xD

and before we start a new monthly fundraiser for rent and food does anyone wanna, separately to that, give us money for some new clothes? 😅

Hello, Fedi. Weekly Mutual Aid post to try and keep my partner @LukeOrion and I inside for another week. We need to raise $462 by Thursday morning (June 4) to do that. We are a disabled trans couple that have been dealing with homelessness for over a year now. We’re trying to keep staying sheltered at an extended stay hotel while we try to raise enough for a used car to help get us back on our feet.

It is now Pride Month, which means many things, and personally, it means another attempt to find a sliver of peace while living within my body.

I have been fighting for my life from birth, not just because I'm trans, but because I lived through DV starting as early as I can remember. Over the years this has left me consistently searching for somewhere to stay the night. I've been fighting for a long time and I believe I deserve a little comfort. This month, I have a consultation for top surgery; my second consultation with this surgeon, with the first being over 6 years ago, as soon as I turned 18. The first one fell apart because I unexpectedly lost the stability I had found.

The only thing really keeping me from top surgery this time is not having a working car. I know if I had health insurance, and if the doctor took insurance, I could get a free ride, but that isn't the case. My partner, @magicalgrrrl and I *need* a car, not only to get me to these crucial appointments, but also in order to get her accessible employment. A car would make it so we aren't needing to spend upwards of $25 to get our medicine every few days, and even more to get a couple of days' groceries (which REALLY adds up).

I want to ask that you boost this post, at the very least, to help amplify my voice.
