**Montreal transit workers stripped of their right to strike**
Quebec's labour tribunal has suspended the strike rights of 2,400 STM support employees, who were poised to begin a general strike to push for stalled negotiations. The tribunal deemed their essential services plan inadequate. The Montreal Transport Union is expected to issue a new strike notice soon. Read more about this developing situation.
