Why is #totaladblock considered a scam (and blocklisted in EL)?

#TotalAdBlock is malware, don't use it
An #adblocker promoted via malicious ads...
Isn't that ironic?
Also, it's the scam #totaladblock so not shocking

Why is #StartPage promoting the #TotalAdblock malware search results for NSFW websites?
And no, this isn't just a run-of-the-mill scam search ad. They have an entire JavaScript file dedicated to this...

Of course, this doesn't mean anything; maybe StartPage always uses separate JavaScript files for their affiliates? No idea.

Prerequisites This is not a support issue or a question. For support, questions, or help, visit /r/uBlockOrigin. I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue...

PSA: #TotalAdblock is a scam, and is being promoted via fake browser update-themed websites. Not shocking this is made by the same people as #TotalAV (which is also a scam).
