#telegram's blockchain (#TonNetwork) has halted. blockchains are not supposed to halt under any circumstances (that's kind of the point of the "decentralized" part).

Either there's a bug (plausible because Ton Network, unlike almost every other blockchain, is not just a copy of the ethereum code) or (more likely IMHO given the timing) someone controlled enough of the nodes to turn off the chain.

there's $14 billion "worth" of TON tokens riding on this blockchain working. also wonder what's going to happen to all the #Tether #USDT they just released on it.

update from @gulovsen looks like it might be because someone tried to release a dog coin called DOGS on the Ton Network and people were so eager to get it that it crashed the whole network.
