@nisjasper Meine *liebste* Alternative ist kein Indie, hmm ... #TinyCthulhu wurde in den Replies, noch nicht erwähnt. Hab ich aber auch noch nicht gelesen oder gespielt. #CthulhuDark hab ich schon gelesen und fands okay, aber nicht umwerfend. Für #MythosWorld & #Lovecraftesque gilt das gleiche. Wenn meine Leute mal was cthuloides spielen wollen, dann meistens direkt den Platzhirschen, sofern ich sie nicht selbst zu #TrailOfCthulhu umleite, das aber *vor allem* investigativ & wenig pulpig ist. 🐙
I was even thinking of building my own RPG system, starting with #YearZeroEngine that powers #Vaesen, Alien and Blade Runner RPGs. And then, someone mentioned that #TinyCthulhu was on sale on DrivethruRPG.
I never heard of TinyD6 system before, but I was immediately delighted. In TinyD6, you use the d6 dice, and have to roll either 5 or 6 for a success. If you have an advantage, you roll three d6. If you have a disadvantage, roll one d6. That's pretty much it.

Just finished up running a one-shot of Tiny Cthulhu, the Tiny D6 Mythos horror RPG.
It's a super-light system, quite good for one-shots.
I ran the published adventure "Sister of Yhanith’lei" - a bit railroady, but fun. The players rolled well, and only one out of five died.
