Little known fact: headrests of Galaxy-class shuttlecraft could also be consumed as giant Tootsie Roll candies when in an emergency.
The simplest explanation would be that crew at Utopia Planitia weren't paying attention and numbered two separate shuttlecraft #05. I mean, there couldn't possibly be two... oh, dear.
