I can say without reservation that #AbletonNote is one of the more compelling and exciting #iOS music-making apps I have ever used. Never could get into #Garageband, #Thumbjam was OK but could never work out how to sequence with it, but this has surpassed #KorgiKaossilator which I absolutely loved, and I thought that nothing would ever pass that for me. This has finally done it, and with the most recent update to the Appstore version, you can perhaps see why I love this thing.

Version 1.0.10, 2d ago, This Ableton Note update brings some exciting new features: Added support for MIDI input. You can now use external MIDI devices (wired and Bluetooth) with Note. Simply select the MIDI device using the new MIDI Input menu in Note’s App Settings. Then choose a track in Note and start playing. Note can also accept MIDI input from iOS apps that output MIDI.

These days, part of my musical activities have to do with #DigitalMaking, including things like #RaspberryPi and #Arduino. Been doing “microprojects” with a variety of devices and dabbling with some apps like #PureData, #SonicPi, #SuperCollider, ChucK, Processing, #AbletonLive, MainStage, #KorgGadget, #ThumbJam, #Animoog, #BlocsWave, and some #Audiobus apps.
Not really an intro, but it could give fellow #musicians and #musickers an idea of my interests. Including #musicking as a concept.
