The 2026 research cycle concludes with a significant focus on Asia. Early December brings the Symposium on Computational Fabrication (SCF) to Tokyo, the defining venue for the software and hardware of making. Concurrently, SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 takes place in Kuala Lumpur. From the workshops of Japan to the plenary halls of Malaysia, this final geographic shift underscores that the future of computational design is a global endeavor. #SIGGRAPHAsia #ComputationalFabrication #DigitalMaking
Hi, I'm Jacqueline, I'm a #STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Educator primarily working in non-traditional learning spaces. I'm a former aerospace engineer and I'm currently studying for a MSc in Digital Education at Edinburgh University. I'm based in Brighton, UK, and I'm interested in ethical #EdTech, #SciComm, #DigiEd, #STEM, #DigitalMaking, #EduTooter

1/2 Been interested in diverse approaches to #DigitalMusicking, from “piano roll”, step sequencers, and drum pads to 3D sensors, signal processing, and algorithmic composition.

Part of this interest has to do with my own musical activities, rethinking some assumptions and embedded models. Another part is more academic, related to research on #DigitalMaking.

These days, part of my musical activities have to do with #DigitalMaking, including things like #RaspberryPi and #Arduino. Been doing “microprojects” with a variety of devices and dabbling with some apps like #PureData, #SonicPi, #SuperCollider, ChucK, Processing, #AbletonLive, MainStage, #KorgGadget, #ThumbJam, #Animoog, #BlocsWave, and some #Audiobus apps.
Not really an intro, but it could give fellow #musicians and #musickers an idea of my interests. Including #musicking as a concept.
