Well... I may have found a musical expression of my reflection about death, or of something similar to my reflection about death. Track 9 of the following album is called "The End of Life in Sound." I've not listened to it yet. (I'm still listening to the whole album.) The title looks promising.

(ETA: not quite an expression of *my* reflection but nice music nonetheless.)

“Accordingly, last week I resigned my FRS. I don't do this in the expectation of having any impact: in the context of over 350 years of Royal Society history, this is just a blip. I just feel far more comfortable to be dissociated from an institution that continues to honour this disreputable man.”
