I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said, "You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away"
One night, when I was a freshman in college, I purchased a cut-out cassette from a sidewalk table in front of a music store in Westwood Village in LA.
That cassette was 'Who Are You', by the Who, and -- since I had only a few albums at the time -- I would have listened to it many times during that brief period I spent in LA.
My favorite Who album -- and, I would say, their very best -- is 'Quadrophenia', but I think that 'Who Are You' is the Who album that I listen to the most.
'Quadrophenia' is brilliant -- the songwriting, the playing, the scope -- but it *is* an investment in time and emotion to listen to it -- it requires effort. (The effort is well-spent, but it is effort nonetheless.)
The songs in 'Who Are You' are fun, exciting, and energetic.
Even if you're tired of hearing the song, 'Who Are You' -- which I could totally understand -- the album, 'Who Are You', is worth a listen.
