Jim BlissToday is the 68th anniversary of the 1st performance of Brendan Behan's debut play "The Quare Fellow" in Dublin. I've never seen it performed, but I've read it a couple of times and it left a deep impression.
Whether the general subversive tone...

... or the specific critique of capital punishment that shapes the play, it's never less than thought-provoking and often quite affecting. Recommended.
