Circumstances today are very different from what they were in the 1970s and 1980s, when I would sit at a table and read the hardcopy Boston Globe and stacks of popular music periodicals. The quality of reporting is worse, though, only if we access bad publications and watch bad videos. Many people reporting news today make a great effort to get facts straight and to tame their own personal opinions. Online we are presented a vast menu and what we get depends largely on the choices we make. This The Hill column positively does not represent my way of thinking but I still think it is worth reading.
