Listening to the #BBC #podcast #TheGatekeepers.
Ep.1 is about The Well and British Journalist #JamieBartlett claims that The Well was the world's first social network.
Before he was even born the Brits (and Europeans!) were running big, successful online social media sites and I think we mostly understood the potential consequences.
From an American? Fine - But come on BBC/Jamie! Do your research or get Tom Sandage to fact-check a little. Grr!
I have been watching the extraordinary #Storyville episode, #TheGatekeepers, on #BBCiPlayerWatch
It consists of interviews with several former leaders of #Israel's #ShinBet, in other words intelligence service.
Filmed in 2014, I thought for a moment it might be current, so good was the analysis it provided of how Israel got into this position.
The interviewees all expressed the view that Israeli intransigence is the cause of most of its security troubles.

The Gatekeepers is as relevant now as when it came out in 2012, perhaps even moreso.
