A ★★★★ review of The Cherry Orchard (1990)

The second film I’ve watched today set in a Japanese school and just as lovely as the other but in a more lovely way! (It seems a lot of reviewers found Typhoon Club to be quite dark). I don’t really know what to say about this movie as I honestly can’t place the genre but I really enjoyed it. The enthusiasm of the teenagers (and teacher) in putting on this play that’s the same every year for the school but not for the pupils. It reminded me of my own time in drama club at school.
