The Battle of #MonteLaturce, also known as the second #BattleOfAlbelda, was a victory for the forces of #OrdoñoIOfAsturias and his ally #GarcíaÍñiguezOfPamplona over the latter's uncle and former ally, #MusaIbnMusaAlQasawi, the #BanuQasi lord of #BorjaZaragoza, #Terrer, and #TudelaNavarre, in 859 or 860. The battle took place during the Asturian siege of a new fortress under construction by Musa at #AlbeldaDeIregua. The fortress was taken a few days after the battle. After Monte Laturce.
