oh i forgot. what is the relationship between quartz vein and slide? does quartz fluid help the rock slide? does it come in after the slide? (but then the 'slick' mineralization wld be destroyed?)

#quartz is nice and I'm glad for crystal derived time, but I voted #cinnabar. Quartz is omnipresent, but the trip with single digit aged me and my dad and the guide to Obermoschel was unique. I'm working with quartz for clock signals, have some nice oscillators (Rb Controlled, heated) but my picture shows an old russian low frequency quartz bar I'm didn't come around to use yet. #mincup23 #teamquartz

This large amethyst geode is on display in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. It formed 130 million years ago when there was intense volcanism in Brazil. Enough lava was produced to cover the British Isles in 3.2 km of lava flows. Amethyst then crystallised in cavities in the solidified lava

Banded Iron Formations (BIF) are among the oldest of Earth's rocks and distributed worldwide. They are very tough, very hard, and comparatively very resistant to weathering.
