Casually prepping dinner, slicing some scallions, chopping some broccoli.

De-stem the broccoli.

Place the stem on the sheet pan.

Discard the florets into-... *Wait!*

Something is not right... A disturbance echoes in the aether.

With a quick snap-back-to-reality cantrip, I realize what went wrong. Whew! That was a close one.

Proceed to accidentally use all the glaze instead of reserving some for afterwards.   

Maybe I need some anti-inflammatories. I grab some.
I put the pills into the cabinet and stare at the pill bottle in my hands, an invisible force holding me in place.

I think I just gave my entire department a break by pushing a stop button that seems to put a pretty thorough stop on *everything*. I only needed the conveyor belt to stop for ten seconds to retrieve my work glove that had fallen behind it.
