Finding some cats in Houtong Cat Village…

Taiwan Quest

Look I'm not going to say it was a bad season. It was a really GOOD season. I really liked most of it.

On the Layover Sam was like 'I'm curious what people will think about what's wrong with our strategy' and I think I have an answer: Sam and Mike spent the whole game playing like they were in the lead, or even winning. The puppyguarding challenges, the nonchalance of not keeping a workable coin balance - at FIVE WHOLE COINS and 20+ stations down, Sam and Mike were playing like they had any bargaining chips AT ALL at the steal on the final day.

The truth is there was never a stalemate at all, because a stalemate assumes there is no path to victory for either team, but there was a path to victory! If the show had ended then and there, or if Sam and Mike kept waiting, Ben and Adam would have won! So it feels really frustrating to watch the aggressive posturing about psyching them out when it ultimately meant nothing because Sam and Mike were the first to blink, and they knew that they were the team with the most at risk.
