Lucanis came back into himself with a rush that almost eclipsed the circumstances he suddenly found himself in. He was face down in the sink with a large strong hand holding the back of his neck. Water poured from the spout next to his head and his wet hair hung in a sad curtain around him. He could hear shouting and the foul taste of something bitter but flowery on his tongue.

“Qué?!”

“Spit it out, Spite! You can’t eat soap!” Taash’s voice was frantic and loud. That explained the hand on his neck. And the taste in his mouth.
