I really wish that Paramount had gone with this team instead of who they chose for the Very Short Treks. They are top notch and deserve the recognition.

Gazelle Automations did these two pieces as love letter to the franchise and to an earlier animation style, while their own work tends to be a mix of puppetry, animatronics and animation. From interviews, it’s clear that they have a true appreciation for the challenges the Filmation animators faced in the 70s.

They’re doing some great, award-winning work for TVOKids (Miikshi) and CBCKids (Go Togo coming this fall). They also recreated key Thunderbirds marionettes for BBC specials.

I’m super curious to see their new SPACE BAO project in development - A space otter, a talking refrigerator and the all-powerful space bao (steamed).

We gave ours the #TAS DVD set in primarily grades and they loved it. It includes the original #TOS ‘Trouble with Tribbles’ and DS9 ‘Trials and Tribulations’. Some selected TOS episodes (Devil in the Dark, Errand of Mercy, Shore Leave, Journey to Babel, The Tholian Web, Let that be your Last Battlefield) worked after that.

If your kids haven’t yet watched #OddSquad on #TVOKids, #PBSKids, or Netflix, it’s a great math education show that’s infused with #StarTrek.

@kicou Do - Polkadot Door was a #TVOKids original for mostly toddlers and it had a budget of approximately "Anything you brought to work with you" and so had ~4 actors, probably 3.

And two were not in costumes all day, and one was. But uh... Polkaroo (the polka dotted green kangaroo that was the show's mascot) needed an actor. So literally the male host would dress in the costume, show up, do the scene with the female host, and then leave, then walk back on without costume and be like "Polkaroo was here?! I missed him again?!"
