Brian KelleyThe 12z Euro also comes west and now shows a strong Atlantic ridge. These show #TD13 / future #Lee at 10 days out. The East Coast is now officially on notice.
AkaSci 🛰️Part of the confidence in the forecast for TD13 comes from the warm waters in its predicted track across the Atlantic ocean.
Sea Surface Temperature (SST) values are around 30°C in its path, which will provide plenty of fuel for the storm.
That green blob off the Carolina coast, surrounded by yellow, is a cold spot caused by upwells due to Hurricane Franklin.

Invest AL95 is now Tropical Depression 13 (TD13), soon to be named Tropical Storm Lee.
Currently has winds at 35 mph but is forecast to strengthen to Cat 4 with 140 mph winds in 5 days.
Expected to pass north of the Lesser Antilles, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico and then head north. But it is too early to accurately predict its track beyond 4-5 days.
All eyes will be on TD13 to see which way the forecast models take it.
