The #TAROCH Coalition has adopted a new name, the Open Heritage Coalition.
This name change brings clearer visibility to our advocacy around the Open Heritage Statement and our goal towards a UNESCO norm-setting instrument for equitable access to heritage in the public domain.
The Open Heritage Statement is open for signatures by institutions and organisations. @wikimediaDE is among the first signees:

The #TAROCH Coalition emerged from an identified need to reduce barriers to access cultural treasures often made inaccessible due to outdated policies, resource limitations, and logistical challenges.
Without openness to cultural heritage, we risk the erosion of cultural diversity, the weakening of dialogue, and the loss of shared narratives that connect us to our past and inform our future.
CC is organizing a European Public Domain Day celebration on this Thursday at the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels. Attendance is free!
