@geerlingguy I would also love to try @batadv on a router with both classic 2.4/5(/6)GHz WLAN and with an 900 802.11ah HaLow PCIe (M.2?) module at some point. @batadv's experimental "BATMAN V" algorithm is throughput based (if the WLAN device's driver exports its throughput estimates), so it should be able to prefer the high throughput WLAN bands if available, while automatically using 900MHz as a fallback.
I'm wondering if a #Switchberry could be a great board to try that.
@geerlingguy ooh, I'm loving this! I'm wondering how flexible this could be to turn it into a #mesh router. Could the GPS M.2 slot also be used for another WiFi card?
There have been projects like the #OpenWrtOne, #LibreRouter or #TurrisOmnia, nice platforms for 2.4+5GHz mesh routers. But they are either non-upgradeable, outdated, short in supplies and/or expensive.
I really like that you can easily upgrade the Compute Module or M.2 cards separately with the #Switchberry.
