Today I received a call from our daughter’s school telling me she cannot move on to the next grade. It was a really hard blow for me. But unfortunately, that’s how the system works here in Germany. Maybe two years in a new country aren’t enough for a child to fully learn the language and do well academically. In her first school, she was the best in her class, and I hoped it would be the same here too
