Note to visitors to my neighborhood: the sign about the $200 fine for illegally parking on our streets isn't lying.
County's making bank today ticketing cars. It's bad enough I'm frankly relieved no one's blocked my driveway. Yet.
Although I do wonder: did these drivers not believe the sign or are they so disgustingly wealthy $200 is a reasonable parking fee to them?
Hit Hyak today. Snowline was about 2/3rds of the way up, so got a little wet. But the snow wasn't nearly as hard as I expected it to be (good job, groomers!) and the lack of crowds was fantastic. I'm hoping we get JUST enough Friday traffic for The Summit to keep us open Fridays next season. :)
I REALLY need to find my goggles, though. Snowflakes hitting your eyeballs at speed aren't pleasant and my glasses don't do well in perception.
Report from a mountain: the sun has come out! Partially. In places where it hits, the snow has become soft and sugary. In places where the shadows reign, the snow is hard, ice like, and fast.
I skied my all mountains, but could have taken my PA ice skis if they'd been waxed.
Hyak was nice this morning and I didn't see lines until 1130. It looks pretty busy now though and the lower lot is full.
