I watched the first few episodes of this "Umbrella Factory" comic-book adaptation on Netflix. So far I'd characterize the premise & long-form plot as being real unusual and interesting.

The actual content, however, is a grim slog of mopey self-indulgents gazing at their navels, lurching from one on-the-nose cliche to the next. Peppered with outsized cornball overactors in at least three of the key roles. #storymatters #but #sodoesexecution
