04 A case was filed under Article 19 of the Peaceful Assembly Law against nine students. The article 19 outlaws unauthorized assemblies and carries a maximum three-month prison sentence. Five students got detained the next morning of the protest.

03 23 February 2020, over 100 students gathered in Yangon to 1) demand MM govt to end the Internet shutdown 2) denouncing the heavy shelling on the schools and the civilian deaths and 3) calling for free media access to local and foreign media and allowing independent investigation teams in Rakhine State.
